A Lost Cat Named Thomas

Years ago one Halloween night, I had rushed home from work to take my son and his friend out trick or treating. As I was running around the house trying to get things ready, my son told me to go into the living room and talk to my husband. Curiously, I walked into the room and there sitting on my husband's lap was the cutest and most precious short-haired grey and white kitten I'd ever seen!

He had beautiful green eyes, a crooked tail, black nose, and a black solid circle on his back leg. Immediately I fell in love with him. My husband and son had known I had wanted a grey and white cat for some time. They had found this kitten for me and kept him a secret for 2 whole weeks! I was so overwhelmed with happiness that I didn't take the boys trick or treating that night but stayed home to be with this adorable kitten. I named him Thomas.

After my husband got home from taking the boys out, we stayed up late and just watched and loved on Thomas. We also had a dog named Max who was the most incredible yellow lab. Max and Thomas immediately became best of friends.

Then this last June, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Max down. He had a long and wonderful life, but his poor body was hurting and he just couldn't go on. And then 2 weeks later, our sweet Thomas disappeared without a trace. We live in a small neighborhood and expected to find him. But sadly we have not.

We believe Thomas was seen on our security footage in August and possibly on our neighbors in September. He looked healthy, thank god. But no sign of him since.

He was my buddy and could made me feel better no matter how hard my day had been. He would always come back inside and stayed very close to our house. He is a shy guy who likes to feel safe and I know he misses his family, as we miss him as well and pray for his return. I hope anyone who reads this may know where he is and will contact me.  Thank you for reading this, please share Thomas's story so he can come back home.

If you live along the Key Peninsula of Washington State and even think you see him, please contact me here thomas@2lostcats.com

Thank you
